No. PNG uses lossless compression, so each page keeps the exact clarity, colors and layout of the original PDF — sharp text, clean vector edges, no blur. Because you also choose the dpi (up to 300), you control how large and how detailed the output is. Unlike JPG, a PNG never loses 1–3% of detail every time it is re-saved, which is why designers prefer it for anything they will edit again.

You choose, per export. A transparent alpha channel preserves the original PDF transparency for Figma, Sketch, Affinity Designer, Illustrator and PowerPoint overlays. A solid white background flattens the alpha — handy when the receiving app does not understand PNG transparency (older Microsoft Word, some email clients).
