How it works
1

Drop your PDF

Drag and drop, click to browse, or paste from the clipboard. Page previews appear instantly — nothing is uploaded, the file is parsed locally in your browser with PDF.js.

2

Pick dpi, color and transparency

Choose 72 / 150 / 300 / 600 dpi, an sRGB or Adobe RGB (1998) ICC profile, and a transparent alpha channel or a solid white background — plus per-page selection for long documents.

3

Download every PNG

Get one numbered, lossless PNG per page, downloaded individually or bundled into a single ZIP. No watermark, no email, no signup — nothing is stored once you close the tab.

Why choose iFillPDF

Real resolution control, 72–600 dpi

Most converters export at one fixed screen size. iFillPDF lets you pick 72 dpi (web and social), 150 dpi (Slack, Notion and Google Docs thumbnails), 300 dpi (print and Retina/high-DPI screens) or 600 dpi (bleed-ready) — Adobe…

Transparent alpha channel

Full 8-bit (256 levels) or 16-bit (65,536 levels) alpha keeps the original PDF transparency for Figma, Illustrator, Affinity, Sketch and PowerPoint overlays. Adobe Acrobat Pro at $19.…

Lossless sRGB / Adobe RGB color

Embed an sRGB IEC 61966-2.1 (web) or Adobe RGB 1998 ICC profile (print) so Photoshop, Figma, Affinity and InDesign show the exact colors — and, unlike JPG, PNG never re-compresses, so text and edges stay razor-sharp on every save.

Batch every page to a numbered ZIP

All pages exported, zero-padded (page-001.png, page-002.png) and zipped in one click, even for a 200-page contract. pdf2png.com caps you at 20 files and purges everything after 60 minutes; iFillPDF batches unlimited pages and…

100% in your browser — no upload

Conversion runs in WebAssembly on your device, so the PDF never touches a server and the tool even works offline once loaded. Optional EU hosting (Hetzner Falkenstein, GDPR-compliant, TADPF) for the rest of your workflow.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free with no signup or watermark?+

Yes — fully free, no email, no signup, no watermark, no daily quota. Convert as many PDFs as you want, of any size, with all four resolutions and transparency unlocked. There is no 7-day trial that expires like Adobe Acrobat Pro at $19.99/mo, Smallpdf at $9/mo or iLovePDF Premium at $7/mo, and no "gotcha" login wall on the download screen.

Will converting to PNG reduce the image quality?+

No. PNG uses lossless compression, so each page keeps the exact clarity, colors and layout of the original PDF — sharp text, clean vector edges, no blur. Because you also choose the dpi (up to 600), you control how large and how detailed the output is. Unlike JPG, a PNG never loses 1–3% of detail every time it is re-saved, which is why designers prefer it for anything they will edit again.

Can I keep the PDF transparency or do I get a white background?+

You choose, per export. A transparent alpha channel (8-bit or 16-bit) preserves the original PDF transparency for Figma, Sketch, Affinity Designer, Illustrator and PowerPoint overlays. A solid white background flattens the alpha — handy when the receiving app does not understand PNG transparency (older Microsoft Word, some email clients). Adobe Acrobat Pro at $19.99/mo strips transparency to white by default; iFillPDF and most free tools give you no transparency choice at all, so this is where iFillPDF stands apart — free.

Why 300 dpi and what does dpi mean for PDF to PNG?+

DPI (dots per inch) sets the rasterization density when a PDF page is rendered into a PNG bitmap: higher dpi = more pixels = sharper and larger. 72 dpi is screen-only (web, social, email signatures), 150 dpi suits Slack, Notion and Google Docs thumbnails, 300 dpi is the print and high-DPI/Retina standard, and 600 dpi is bleed-ready for professional printing. iFillPDF gives you all four for free; Adobe and Canva export at a single fixed resolution with no dpi choice.

PNG vs JPG — which should I pick?+

Pick PNG when you need lossless quality, sharp text, transparency, or you plan to edit the image again — design mockups, web hero images, logos, diagrams and screenshots of contracts. Pick JPG when file size matters more than perfect detail — photo previews or lightweight email attachments. PNG files are bigger but never re-compress on edit; JPG loses a little quality on every save, so text and thin lines soften over time.

Can I convert only some pages of the PDF?+

Yes — after dropping the PDF, every page is previewed and individually selectable. Pick a single page, a range (1-5, 8, 12-15) or all. Long contracts and books are handled efficiently: only the selected pages are rasterized to PNG, then zero-padded, numbered and zipped for download. There is no per-hour task cap like the free tiers of Convertio or Sejda — iFillPDF stays unlimited.

Is there a file-size limit, and can I convert several PDFs at once?+

There is no artificial file-size cap: because the conversion runs on your own machine, the limit is your device memory, not a server quota — so large 100–200 MB PDFs convert fine (Ezgif caps at 200 MB and Adobe recommends staying under 100 MB). You can also queue several PDFs; every page from every file is numbered and bundled into one ZIP. pdf2png.com limits you to 20 files and deletes them after 60 minutes; iFillPDF keeps nothing because nothing is uploaded.

Can I convert a password-protected PDF, and does the tool work offline?+

Enter the password once and the pages unlock locally for conversion — the password never leaves your browser, unlike Adobe, where the file (and password) are sent to Adobe servers first. And yes: once the page has loaded, the converter keeps working offline, since every conversion runs client-side in WebAssembly with no API call — useful on a plane or a locked-down corporate network.

How is privacy handled — does my PDF leave my computer?+

No. The PDF is parsed and rasterized 100% client-side in your browser via WebAssembly — there is no upload, no temporary cloud copy and no server-side log of your file. For comparison, pdf2png.com, Adobe and CloudConvert all upload your file to their servers first. For the rest of the iFillPDF workflow, optional EU hosting (Hetzner Falkenstein, GDPR-compliant, TADPF-certified) adds AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit, with no data transfer outside the EU.
